#NewMusicTuesday: Harry Styles, “Sign of the Times”

You’re probably familiar with One Direction, which means you have likely heard of the 23-year-old sensation, Harry Styles. Formed in 2010, the group is known for mega hits such as, “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Best Song Ever,” but today we’re here to talk about Styles’ first single as a solo artist!

It’s worth noting that we were devastated when One Direction took a planned hiatus to pursue individual projects last year, but were brought back to life when it was reported that Styles had signed a recording contract as a solo artist. The anticipation has certainly been a lot to handle, but on April 7th we got a taste of the artist Styles has evolved into and we are thrilled!

If you haven’t listened to “Sign of the Times” yet, then we urge you to head over to iHeartRadio and give it a whirl. The first single off of his heavily anticipated debut solo album is certainly a departure from earlier pop rock hits with One Direction, but it’s a great step forward for Styles as he continues his journey as a solo artist. We couldn’t be more excited for this Bowie-esque tune and for the rest of the album to go live on May 12th!

If you can’t get enough of Harry Styles, be sure to check out his recent appearance on Saturday Night Live. In addition to performing “Sign of the Times,” he also debuted another single, “Ever Since New York,” and gave a hilarious impersonation of Mick Jagger in the recurring sketch Celebrity Family Feud. You don’t want to miss the video!
