#NewMusicTuesday: "Expectations"

Bebe Rexha just released her debut album Expectations, and after a few listens through I think we can all agree that it’s exceeded our expectations. The 28-year-old star has been on a tear since her third E.P. All Your Fault Pt. 2, which dropped a little under a year ago and featured collaborations with Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane and 2 Chainz, and Florida Georgia Line in the #2 Billboard Top 100 hit “Meant to Be.”

Throughout the album Bebe beautifully expresses the unpredictability of life, her own self-doubt and the pain of heartbreak. We witness the anxieties that keep her up at night in “I’m a Mess” and hear her cry for freedom from toxic love in the powerful ballad, “Knees.” In “Ferrari” Bebe shares her take on how fame – and the long road to it – is a whole lot lonelier than it seems. And Bebe knows a thing or two about how long that road can be. Her first big break in music was penning Rihanna and Eminem’s “The Monster” back in 2013 – it sure has taken time, but look how far she’s come!

Check out our exclusive interview with Bebe Rexha, where she talks about the process of creating this album, collaborating with some of her favorite artists and experimenting with new genres, like country. Definitely take a listen to her album if you haven’t already, right here on iHeartRadio!
