#SupportNewMusic with Nikki Sixx: Never Stop Giving Back
By: Nikki Sixx
As an artist, I believe there is no more noble cause than giving a helping hand to new, deserving artists.
Sixx Sense has allowed me to play new artists on 150 radio stations throughout North America. The Struts, Royal Blood, Nothing More, Highly Suspect — and now, From Ashes To New — are just a few of the new artists that got early radio support from Sixx Sense.
Touring with established bands also helps new artists build an identity and reach new audiences. Bands like Mötley Crüe, Foo Fighters, and Five Finger Death Punch have all offered their stage to younger bands.
Mötley Crüe had The Struts open for our last three shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Royal Blood opened for the Foo Fighters tour, and Five Finger Death Punch took out Nothing More and From Ashes To New.
New artists getting support on radio and on the road are moving the rock format forward. If you’re a fan, ask your favorite artists to support new bands; and if you’re an established artist, help expose new artists on the road and with your fans.
Sixx Sense is a proven radio show for breaking new rock bands. And to further our commitment, we will be playing more new music from the most deserving new bands. If the song reacts with you, let us know by sharing your thoughts with @SixxSense on Twitter, or visit our Facebook page and remember to tag #supportnewmusic.
It’s an exciting time for rock music. We can and will continue to make a difference, but we can’t do it alone. You have to join the fight. Let's keep spreading the word by supporting new music. Visit www.SixxSense.com to find a local radio station and listen online, or tune into the Sixx Sense anywhere you are on iHeartRadio.
