Artist of the Week: Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber
Dan + Shay were once just a country duo in Nashville, Tennessee. Their names were Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, and they had a dream of making it big. Over time, after a lot of hard work, tours and #1 country hits, the band has risen up and into the country music spotlight. Today, they’ve seen almost ten of their songs top the country music charts. And, in addition to their own material, Dan + Shay have worked with other artists and their music including Rascal Flatts, RaeLynn and even Kelly Clarkson.
Today, Dan + Shay have something extra special in store for their fans: the duo has teamed up with the one-and-only Justin Bieber for a new single, “10,000 Hours.” This mid-tempo song is the first single from Dan + Shay’s upcoming album, which will be the follow-up to their 2018 self-titled third LP.
Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber have been teasing the new song on Instagram and Twitter over the past couple of weeks. The country duo recently posted an Instagram photo with the “10.4.19” as the caption, and Bieber shared a beautiful desert video on his Twitter account teasing the song and collaboration. In Bieber’s caption, he calls the song “wedding music” — and after listening to this beautiful, heartfelt song we know exactly what he means.
