New Musical Drama Podcast "Make It Up As We Go" Features Star-Studded Cast and Original Music from Country Icons

Attention Country music fans! Do we have a treat for you: a brand-new scripted podcast musical about the road to music stardom!

Make It Up As We Go is a drama series, co-produced by Audio Up Media and iHeartRadio, that takes listeners on one young, aspiring singer-songwriter’s journey to find her voice, and its available NOW on iHeartRadio.

Listen now to the first two episodes and hear the exciting story of Charlotte Sales (voiced by songwriter Scarlett Burke), who’s blossoming Country music career takes her from the Texas panhandle to the legendary Music City venues of Nashville. The highly-anticipated podcast is written by David Hudgins—the man behind hit television shows Friday Night Lights, Parenthood and Game of Silence—and Brian Hudgins. It also features a star-studded cast of Billy Bob Thornton, Bobby Bones and Craig Robinson—as well appearances and original music from Country stars Miranda Lambert (who also serves as executive producer) and Lindsay Ell.

In fact, a brand new song “Workin’ Out” for the project was just released in conjunction with the series premiere, from chart-topping singer Lindsay Ell.

Additionally, we are excited to share that Unilever’s popular Knorr and Magnum brands just came on board in support of the new podcast as the exclusive sponsor of the podcast’s 8-episode season.

“At Unilever, we love to continue to explore new opportunities to connect with our consumers where they are consuming content,” said Rob Master, Vice President, Media and Digital Engagement for Unilever North America. “In Make It Up As We Go, we saw a unique opportunity in the podcast space to not only engage fans with an inspiring story and top tier talent but enjoy original music to boot.”
