Artist of the Week: Alessia Cara

There’s no stopping Alessia Cara—2018 started off strong for our Artist of the Week, but it looks like the “Scars to Your Beautiful” singer will end the year even stronger. Back in January, Cara took home a Grammy as best new artist, and has maintained momentum even since. In June, she released “Growing Pains,” the first single off her upcoming sophomore album, The Pains of Growing, and has since followed up with “A Little More” and “Trust My Lonely,” her current hit single.

Excited yet? There’s more! As fans anxiously await The Pains of Growing to drop in November, they have something else to look forward too—Alessia Cara is performing at our 2018 z100 Jingle Ball concert, and will headline the Jingle Ball tour. Cara joined Elvis Duran and other members of the Z100 Morning Show at Macy’s Herald Square in New York to announce the lineup earlier this week, but we’ve got the moment she first heard the lineup herself.
