Artist of the Week: Cage the Elephant

American rock band Cage the Elephant is back with a new album and a stacked summer tour to match! It has been two years since Cage the Elephant released their last album, but it was definitely worth the wait. Social Cues is the band’s fifth studio album that came out in April of this year. The album was well received by critics and fans who called it a return to classic American rock bands like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and The Byrds.

Social Cues had a lot to live up to: two years ago, Cage the Elephant won a Grammy for their fourth record, Tell Me I’m Pretty. This album was produced by Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys, and it landed at #26 on the U.S. Billboard chart. But this fifth album did not disappoint, and we don’t expect these rock n’ rollers to be anything less than amazing on tour this summer.

Cage the Elephant will be co-headlining most of their summer tour with fellow rockstar, Beck. Beck’s music is sonically similar to Cage the Elephant and he even appears on “Night Running,” the third track from Social Cues.

Cage the Elephant is also one of the headliners for this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival! If you can’t catch them on tour this summer, find the band and some of our other favorite acts the weekend of September 20th at iHeart’s Las Vegas festival. Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 15 at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST via iHeartRadio.com/Tickets.

Stream Social Cues now and get ready to rock out with them this summer at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival!
