Artist of the Week: P!nk
With our annual iHeartRadio Music Festival coming up on September 22nd and 23rd, we wanted to give some love to one of our favorite upcoming performers: P!nk! Always a fan favorite, P!nk brings incredible energy and excitement to the stage –– our festival can’t come soon enough!
P!nk burst onto the scene in 2000 with her debut album “Can’t Take me Home.” It went double platinum and spun off three Billboard Top 10 singles: "There U Go," "Most Girls," and "You Make Me Sick." Toward the end of that year P!nk released “Get the Party Started,” a fun and catchy song that quickly made Billboard’s Top 5 –– and practically every party playlist in the country! And now, P!nk is back in action with her latest hit What About Us," just released last week.
Over the years, P!nk’s six albums have all gone platinum and produced a combined three No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: “So What” in 2008, “Raise Your Glass” in 2010, and “Just Give me a Reason” in 2013. Her collaboration with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Mya - “Lady Marmalade” - also sat at No.1 for five weeks. She’s won three Grammy Awards, Best New Pop Artist of the Year, and Woman of the Year.
