iHeartRadio Celebrates Black Achievement, Persistence, and Excellence With the Launch of A Companion Podcast For Hulu’s Three-Part Series, Your Attention Please.
While Black History Month is coming to an end, the celebration of Black visionaries and their achievements and creativity should not. iHeartRadio and Hulu are joining forces to extend Black History Month beyond February and into the months to come with the launch of a companion podcast for the streamer’s show, Your Attention Please.
To continue the stories featured in the Hulu series, the “Your Attention Please” podcast will feature the same nine Black voices whose groundbreaking and impactful work was featured in the show. Serving as a true companion to the streaming show, the podcast’s content includes socially-submitted questions and discussions around the series from fans. The “Your Attention Please” podcast will honor achievements of the Black community and facilitate ongoing conversations that continue beyond the historical month of celebration.
Guests of the show and podcast are incredible individuals with vastly different interests, aspirations, and origin stories that are united in a collective expression of Black achievement, persistence, and excellence. Guests like Moogega Cooper, Tomi Adeyemi, and Hilton Carter share their success stories, giving listeners an opportunity to learn, be inspired and celebrate the impact of their work.
Fans can listen to the nine-episode podcast to hear filmmaker Phillip Youmans talk about risk in artistry and expectations, hear sunglass designers Coco & Breezy remember life in the suburbs; learn from athlete Ibtihaj Muhammed about aggression and representation; and hear how Iddris Sandu, a Ghanaian architectural technologist, who, along with deceased rapper Nipsey Hussle, created the world’s first smart retail store experience.
The first episode of the “Your Attention Please” podcast is available today featuring M.A.I. (Movement Art Is) which was co-founded by Jon Boogz and Lil Buck. The two share how, through the power of movement art, the organization brings awareness to social issues and motivates people to transform their communities.
In the coming weeks, learn more about these Black leaders and creators who are changing the face of the cultural landscape now. And remember to join in on the social conversation for a chance to have your questions answered by these featured visionaries.
