#NewMusicTuesday: Justin Bieber, “Friends”

Calling all Beliebers! Justin Bieber just released “Friends” — a fun, catchy summer jam that we think you’ll love! This electro pop song adds to Bieber’s record-breaking summer, and exposes how he really feels.

It’s no secret that the song begs forgiveness from ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. Bieber admits that she’s inspired a few of his past songs –– and the lyrics of this new hit make it pretty obvious. But Bieber’s “Friends” might also be aimed at the fans he disappointed after abruptly canceling his Purpose Tour in July.

With chart-topping hit after chart-topping hit, Justin Bieber has clearly found his 'purpose' as one of the biggest names in music today. His Purpose album in 2015 produced three No. 1 singles, “What Do You Mean?,” “Sorry” and “Love Yourself.” Since then he has collaborated on Billboard Top 5 hits “Cold Water” with Major Lazer, and “I’m the One” with previous Artist of the Week DJ Khaled.

Canadian born Bieber is also featured in this summer’s hottest song: “Despacito.” The collaboration with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee has become the most streamed song of all time, and its music video the most watched YouTube of all time.

To round out a successful summer, hit single "Friends" could be Bieber’s third Hot 100 No. 1 of 2017. If you haven’t already, take a listen right here at iHeartRadio.com, and remember, for the next two months, you can hear unlimited beats on demand for just 99 cents!
