Artist of the Week: Dan + Shay

To say that Dan + Shay have started the year off strong would be an understatement! The duo of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney has already broken records by maintaining their lead on the very top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart for the fourth week in a row, and the Hot Country Songs chart for the sixth week in a row. But now there’s even more big news to share—along with a slew of other incredibly talented performers, the pair is heading to the iHeartCountry Music Festival in Austin, Texas this May!

Fans have been swooning over the artists’ latest hit tracks “Speechless” and “Tequila,” so much so that Dan + Shay have actually recorded brand new, acoustic versions of the songs. “Speechless,” in particular, has been a crowd favorite and a popular choice for wedding songs. In the “Speechless” music video, Dan + Shay feature clips of their own special moments of wedded bliss, so it’s no surprise that fans have followed suit! “Tequila,” meanwhile, was nominated for ‘"Country Song of the Year"’ at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
