Artist of the Week: Ed Sheeran

Calling all Ed Sheeran fans! We’ve got great news for you: last month, the English pop sensation announced he will be releasing a sixth album on July 12 titled No.6 Collaborations Project!

Fans have already gotten a taste of how epic this upcoming album is going to be. Back in May, Sheeran released the first single off the album, “I Don’t Care” featuring the one and only Justin Bieber. Two weeks later, Sheeran put out another awesome single, “Cross Me” with Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock. And then, as if these first two singles weren’t great enough, Sheeran put out another single last Friday with Khalid called “Beautiful People.”

As the name suggests, No. 6 Collaborations Project is going to be exclusively collaborations between Sheeran and other popular artists. Sheeran released a tracklist for it back in May, but he has not revealed who all of the album’s participants will be. Looks like we’re going to have to wait for July 12 to see how he is going to surprise us!

To celebrate the release of No.6 Collaborations Project, Sheeran is hosting a Hometown Collaboration Contest in collaboration with iHeartRadio. Fans can enter to win a first class trip to England to see him in one of his final stops — in his hometown of Ipswich, UK! And because Sheeran wants you to feel at home as well, he has designed a custom itinerary including all of his favorite spots around town for you to enjoy leading up to the concert. At the concert, winners will get to meet him backstage and receive an autographed guitar.
