Artist of the Week: John Legend

We’re celebrating another music superstar on the blog this week: the one and only John Legend!

Legend has been keeping busy during quarantine. In April, he dropped “Bigger Love,” a sentimental new single that’s the kind of catchy, breezy track we all need right now. In a Together At Home livestream, Legend said, “Everybody's home, you need stuff, you need music, you need TV, you need films. You need stuff to entertain you, so I'm going to put some music out.”

In addition to his new music, Legend has also been devoting his time to Miry’s List, a volunteer organization that uses crowdsourcing to help new arrival refugee families meet their most urgent needs and start new lives in Southern California. Currently, the organization is assisting new arrival families as they attempt to safely isolate during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Legend is also teaming up with iHeartRadio for “First Responder Fridays with FirstNet, Built with AT&T.” Tonight he’s set to deliver an exclusive, online performance for fans that they won’t want to miss!

“First Responder Fridays” is a four-week event series that honors the first responders and medical professionals on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, this series collects donations every Friday throughout the day and culminates in a special 7pm ET performance from a fan-favorite artist.

Tune in to iHeartRadio’s YouTube channel or broadcast stations nationwide tonight to enjoy an exclusive performance from John Legend!
