Brand New iHeartRadio Features Roll Out on Cortana!
We know that you’re always looking for new, easy ways to hear the music you love. That’s why we teamed up with Windows 10 back in 2015 to integrate with Cortana, Microsoft’s personal digital assistant, to give you access to your favorite artists and stations. We’re excited to announce that Microsoft is rolling out a Creators Update with Cortana improvements that allows you to use voice controls to kick off playback and includes cool new features on iHeartRadio.
What’s new, you ask? Now, you can use voice commands to activate iHeartRadio on Cortana, controlling your music, playback, and even the volume on your device. Simply say something like, “Play Drake on iHeartRadio,” or “Play Z100 on iHeartRadio” to hear the artists and songs you love. Cortana even recognizes songs that are playing and plays contextually relevant music content for you at any given moment. In addition, users can access iHeartRadio through Cortana above and below the lock screen for a truly easy-to-use listening experience.
So, what are you waiting for? The Creators Update is rolling out to Windows 10 devices now and will be available to all Windows 10 users soon. Check for updates on your Windows 10 device and start listening to iHeartRadio now!
