Oh what fun it is to tweet, snap, pin, post and more the iHeartRadio 2015 Jingle Ball Tour! This year’s Jingle Ball Tour jingled all the way to almost 11 billion social media impressions. To put that in context, that’s like each and every person on the planet seeing 1.5 posts relating to iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball!
The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour — which ran from December 1-19 and stopped in Dallas, San Francisco/Oakland, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, and Tampa — was an incredible success, with more than a 67% increase in total social media impressions over last year’s tour, beating out both the Big Game Halftime Show and the Academy Awards.
New York’s Z100 Jingle Ball garnered more than 3.5 billion social media impressions alone, while #iheartradiojingleball trended worldwide, nationally and locally in over 30 cities on the night of the show. Z100’s tour stop was also streamed live across Yahoo and iHeartMedia radio stations, not to mention the iHeartRadio app, where fans from across the country tuned in to hear their favorite performances live. The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball was also featured as a 90 minute special broadcast on The CW — with music lovers getting a front row seat (from the comfort of their own living rooms!) to see their favorite artists take the stage. Combined, more than 19 million fans tuned in via the radio, online and through The CW broadcasts to experience the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball remotely.
