#NewMusicTuesday: Ocean Park Standoff, “Good News”
What started off as a great writing session turned into fodder for a feel-good song, which turned into a hit single, a tour, and a debut EP with Hollywood Records. This certainly wasn’t what Samantha Ronson, Pete Nappi, and Ethan Thompson had in mind in the beginning of that first writing session, but the trio – now formally known as Ocean Park Standoff – is enjoying making good tunes together and spreading hope through their music.
In between their hectic schedules, the group took some time out of their day to stop by our studio to share what inspired "Good News," their hit single which was released in October. Ultimately it’s about injecting hope and spreading the message of love to all – as Ronson puts it, “no matter how bad things get, there’s always hope!”
